Extension of Deadline: Commencement of Recordation of IPR

Public Notice No.2/2022 

We make reference to our Public Notice No.1/2022 of 26^th April 2022 on Commencement of Recordation of Intellectual Property Rights for all imports destined into the country. The Authority appreciates the continued response and feedback from various stakeholders regarding the process. 

In this regard, we hereby announce the EXTENSION OF THE DEADLINE for the commencement of section 34B of the Anti-Counterfeit Act, Legal Notice No. 117 of 2021 and Legal Notice No.118 of 2021 by six (6) months from 1^st July 2022 to 1^st January 2023.
