ACA CEO Dr. Robi Mbugua Njoroge Honoured as 'Champion of Institutional Growth' at APRA 2025 Conference in Mombasa

Dr. Robi Mbugua Njoroge, Executive Director and CEO of the Anti-Counterfeit Authority (ACA), was celebrated on June 10, 2025, at the 36th Annual African Public Relations Association (APRA) Conference in Mombasa, where he received the prestigious award for “Champion of Institutional Growth – for Visionary Leadership and Steadfast Support to PRSK.”
The award ceremony, which took place during APRA’s golden jubilee under the theme “Transforming Africa through Safe and Responsible Digital Communication,” was attended by Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Information and ICT, Hon. William Kabogo, alongside ministers and dignitaries from across the African continent. The gathering drew thought leaders and communication strategists dedicated to building ethical and inclusive digital communication practices.
In a powerful commendation, APRA President Mr. Arik Karani praised Dr. Njoroge’s legacy:

Dr. Njoroge, a former Vice President of the Public Relations Society of Kenya (PRSK), was recognized for championing institutional credibility, embedding communication as a strategic pillar in governance, and promoting public understanding in the fight against counterfeits and illicit trade.
“Institutional growth is built on vision, integrity, and collaboration,” Dr. Njoroge said in his acceptance message. “At ACA, we are proud to lead with these values, strengthening both the fight against counterfeit and the public’s trust in our institutions.”
The recognition affirms ACA’s pivotal role in shaping transparent public sector communication and reinforces the centrality of visionary leadership in Africa’s development journey.
