We are delighted to announce the appointment of Mrs. Flora Mutahi as the new Chairperson and member to our Board of Directors. This was effective as of Friday, July, 13, 2018. She takes over from Mr. Pradeep Paunrana.

Mrs. Flora Mutahi is a Kenyan accountant, entrepreneur and corporate executive. She is the Chairperson of the Kenya Association of Manufacturers a position she has held since July 2016 and the first woman to occupy that office as the Chairperson. She is also the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Melvin Marsh International Limited, the manufacturer of Melvin’s Tea, a Kenyan brand.

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting and finance, obtained from the United States International University. She also has an Executive Masters in Business Administration, awarded by the University of Cape Town, South Africa. She is also Certified Public Accountant.

Her first venture was salt manufacturing followed later on by a tea business. She also does rice processing and marketing. She is mostly known for Melvin Marsh International, the company she founded in 1995, where she has served as CEO, ever since.

Mrs. Flora Mutahi is also the Vice-Chairperson of the Business Council of the Common Market of Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and a member of the Board of Directors of Seed Hope, a Kenyan non-profit organization striving to improve the living conditions of the slum-dwellers in the Kibera shanty town.
