Job Specification

An Anti-Counterfeit Inspector II will perform a variety of Enforcement duties of limited scope and complexity under appropriate guidance and supervision of Anti-Counterfeit Inspector I.
The Anti-Counterfeit Inspector II is responsible to Anti-Counterfeit Inspector I for:-

1. drafting charge sheets and filing cases in courts;
2. ensuring safe custody of exhibits;
3. investigating complaints from intellectual property rights owners;
4. ensuring that witnesses attend court through witness summons;
5. assisting in conducting prosecution of cases;
6. taking part in compiling court files/cases;
7. conducting raids on suspected counterfeit goods;
8. entering, inspecting, seizing and detaining suspected counterfeit goods;
9. carrying out follow ups on cases of complaints on counterfeit goods;
10. sampling goods for testing and analysis;
11. compiling reports on suspected counterfeit goods;
12. entering goods into the inventory and transferring them into the counterfeit goods depot;
13. perform any other duty as may be assigned

Person Specifications

For appointment to the grade of Anti-Counterfeit Inspector II, a person must have:-

1. a Bachelor’s degree in Law, Criminology or related disciplines from a recognized institution;
2. at least two (2) years working experience in litigation, criminology or law enforcement; and
3. demonstrated administrative and professional competence in work performance
4. Professional membership in the related fields above will be an added advantage

5. Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
