Job Specification

The Senior Anti-Counterfeit Inspector is responsible to the Chief Anti-Counterfeit Inspector and will:-

1. conduct on job training for the inspectors;
2. receive and act on complaints relating to enforcement of intellectual property rights;
3. implement the prosecution policies and procedures;
4. coordinate investigations of complaints from intellectual property rights owners;
5. ensure that witnesses attend courts through witness summons;
6. conduct prosecution of cases;
7. coordinate the compiling of court files/cases;
8. make test purchases of suspected goods from the market for sampling, testing and analyzing;
9. conduct raids on suspected counterfeit goods;
10. initiate action on suspected counterfeit goods;
11. supervise the entering, inspecting, seizing, detaining suspected counterfeit goods;
12. compile reports on suspected counterfeit goods;
13. maintain prosecutions registers and files;
14. perform any other duty as may be assigned.

Person Specifications

For Promotion/appointment to the grade of Senior Anti-Counterfeit Inspector, a person must have:-

1. Bachelor’s degree in Law, Criminology or related disciplines from a recognized institution;
2. at least four (4) years working experience in litigation, criminology or law enforcement;
3. demonstrated managerial, administrative and professional competence in work performance;
4. must be a member of a relevant professional body in good standing; and
5. attended a Senior Management Course.

5. Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
