Job Specification

The Anti-Counterfeit Inspector II is responsible to Chief Anti-Counterfeit Inspector for:-

1. Investigating complaints from intellectual property rights owners;
2. Conducting raids on suspected counterfeit goods;
3. Entering, inspecting, seizing and detaining suspected counterfeit goods;
4. Drafting charge sheets and filing cases in courts;
5. Ensuring safe custody of exhibits by maintaining inventory;
6. Taking part in compiling court files/cases;
7. Sampling goods for testing and analysis;
8. Compiling reports on suspected counterfeit goods;
9. Ability to write statements and presentation of evidence before court;
10. Ability to work under pressure and with minimum supervision
11. Performing any other duty as may be assigned by management

Person Specifications

For appointment to the grade of Anti-Counterfeit Inspector II, a person must have:-

a) Bachelor’s degree in Criminology, Law or related disciplines from a recognized institution;
b) At least two (2) years working experience in litigation, criminology or law enforcement;
c) Demonstrated administrative and professional competence in work performance; and
d) Professional membership in the related fields above will be an added advantage.

3. Criminal Investigation Department (CID),
4. Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
5. Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
