1. Job Specification

The Chief Legal Officer is responsible to the Deputy Director Enforcement and Legal Services and will be:-

1. Coordinating the implementing the provisions of all the legislations administered by the Agency;
2. Facilitating out of court settlement between parties in a counterfeit matter.
3. Reviewing legal documents/instruments.
4. Preparing opinions and briefs papers and memoranda;
5. Providing legal advice;
6. Attending court on behalf of the Agency; and
7. Perform any other duty as may be assigned by the management.

2. Person Specifications

For appointment to the grade of Chief Legal Officer, a person must have:-

1. Master’s degree in Law or Business Management/Administration;
2. Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized institution;
3. Must be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya in good standing;
4. At least ten (6) years working experience, three (3) of which must have been at a Managerial level in litigation;
5. Demonstrated managerial, administrative and professional competence in work Performance;
6. Attended a Senior Management Course not lasting less than four (4) weeks.

4. Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); and
5. Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
