The Anti-Counterfeit Authority (ACA) in support of the Government’s Youth Initiative to develop a pool of young talent for the Kenyan Labour Market, has put in place a three (3) months Internship program for unemployed Kenyan graduate holders of degree and diploma certificates. The Authority is in the process of establishing a database of persons interested in the program, if and when an opportunity arises. The database will be valid for a period of one year and maybe reviewed on need basis.
The program aims at providing the youth an opportunity for on-the job experience to build upon skills learned at school as well as for their professional development and to enhance their employability. This opportunity is open in the following functions of the Authority:
- Enforcement
- Legal Services
- Education and Awareness
- Research
- Planning and Quality Assurance
- Finance / Accounts
- Internal Audit
- Human Resource & Administration
- Records Management
- Procurement
- ICT
- Public Communication
Qualifications and Basic Requirements
A Diploma or a First degree from a recognized Institution in the following disciplines: Finance/Accounting, Economics, Procurement Studies, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Communication, ICT, Library & Information Sciences, Law, Criminology and Security Studies, Business Administration, Business Management and any other relevant fields.
Eligibility and duration of internship
This program will be open to:
- Unemployed Kenyan graduates from training institutions who have completed their degree courses and have not been exposed to work experience related to their area of study. The internship shall be undertaken only once after graduating from a course
- Graduates of degree and diploma programmes for whom internship is a requirement for registration by their respective professional bodies.
- Kenyan youths aged 34 years or below
Duration
The internship period shall be 3 months non-renewable
Personal Attributes
- Must be a person of Integrity (Current Certificate of good conduct required)
- Must be Computer Literate
- Strong Communication (written & oral) skills
